Restored by a Real Artist — Not AI
Automated AI tools guess at missing detail and often invent new faces, leaving a plastic, not-quite-right result. Every Paws & Pixels restoration is done by hand, so your loved ones still look like themselves — because for most damaged photos, it's the only copy your family has.
Send a scan or a phone snapshot and you'll get a free, no-commitment quote before any work begins.

Photo Restoration FAQs
Common questions about our restoration process
How much does photo restoration cost?+
Basic restoration of faded or lightly damaged photos starts at $45. Moderate restoration with tear, crease, or stain repair starts at $85, and complex reconstruction starts at $150. Colorization of black & white photos starts at $225. Every project gets a free estimate based on the actual damage before any work begins.
Do you use AI or restore photos by hand?+
Every restoration is done by hand by a real artist. AI tools tend to guess at missing detail and invent new facial features, which leaves a plastic, inaccurate result. Hand restoration keeps your loved ones looking like themselves — important because a damaged photo is often the only copy a family has.
Do I need to mail in my original photo?+
No. In most cases a high-resolution scan or even a clear phone snapshot of the photo is all we need, so your fragile original never has to leave your hands. We also offer local drop-off in the Tri-Cities, WA and work with clients nationwide.
What kinds of damage can you fix?+
We restore faded colors, tears, creases, water and mildew damage, scratches, stains, and missing or torn-off sections. We also enhance and sharpen faces, remove or replace backgrounds, and colorize black & white photographs.
How will I receive my restored photo?+
You'll receive a high-resolution digital file of your restored photo, and you can optionally order professional reprints. Most restorations are completed within a few business days of approving your quote.
